GanttFather release v0.18.0
The GanttFather workspace after this release, with dependencies and the critical path visible.

New

  • A complete onboarding journey. Tailor your starting point, then create a blank project, preview a template, import an existing plan, or connect Azure DevOps through a guided flow.
  • Safer project setup. Interrupted onboarding attempts can resume or retry without creating duplicate projects.
  • Azure DevOps status and progress sync. Map GanttFather statuses and progress fields to Azure DevOps, review detected changes, and choose exactly what to push or pull.

Improved

  • More room for the Gantt chart. Collapse the task panel to a slim, easy-to-find control and expand it whenever you need task details.
  • Clearer task hierarchy. Parent rows show completed-child counts, collapsed groups show how many tasks are hidden, and the same status display choices are available in Gantt and List views.
  • Cleaner timeline details. Dependency lines use softer corners, the Today marker stays aligned while scrolling, and its highlight is visually distinct from non-working days.
  • A more consistent workspace. Sidebar projects, action icons, status menus, read-only labels, alerts, and Team controls now follow the same typography, spacing, colors, and interaction patterns.
  • Useful sync feedback. Pull and push dialogs close after completion, report the number of changed work items, and store results in the notification center.

Bug Fixes

  • Reliable first sign-in. New accounts now enter onboarding immediately instead of briefly opening an empty workspace error.
  • Accurate Azure change detection. Status changes such as Open to Closed appear in the review dialog and are sent when confirmed.
  • Stable timeline alignment. The Today line and chip remain together at the far edge of horizontal scrolling.
