v0.4.0

Automatic dependency scheduling

Features

  • Tasks now move automatically when their predecessors change. Creating a Finish-to-Start dependency or dragging a predecessor forward will push successor tasks to respect the constraint — just like MS Project or Smartsheet. Duration is always preserved, and chain reactions cascade through linked tasks.
  • Choose Manual or Auto scheduling per task. A compact toggle in the Dependencies section lets you decide whether each task’s dates are driven by its dependencies (Auto) or set freely (Manual). Manual tasks show an amber warning arrow when they violate a constraint.
  • Project-wide auto-reschedule override. A new Dependencies section in Project Settings lets you enable automatic scheduling for every task at once. When turned on, all existing violations are resolved immediately with a single click — and you can undo the entire cascade if needed.
  • Undo dependency cascades. Whenever tasks are rescheduled automatically, an undo toast appears for 8 seconds so you can instantly revert every moved task to its original dates.
  • Dependency cycle protection in the task panel. Adding a dependency that would create a circular chain is now blocked with a clear error message, matching the existing protection on the Gantt chart.
