v0.2.6

Inline task creation from the Gantt list, plus a smoother onboarding tour

Features

  • Hover over a task group to reveal an “Add subtask” button. When your mouse is over a parent task and its children, a ”+” row appears at the end of the group so you can add a subtask right where it belongs.
  • Hover at the bottom of the task list to add a root task. A ”+ Add task” row appears when you move your mouse near the bottom of the list, letting you create tasks inline without reaching for the toolbar.
  • The new task row now opens at the bottom of the list when you click the bottom hover button, instead of jumping to the top.

Bug Fixes

  • The onboarding tour no longer breaks when the sidebar is collapsed. The sidebar now expands automatically during the tutorial, and the toggle is disabled so you won’t accidentally hide the highlighted areas.
  • The tutorial spotlight correctly points to the “Add task” button so you know exactly where to click.
  • Typing your first task name during the tutorial is no longer hidden behind the tutorial card. The card moves aside, and a second spotlight step guides you through naming your task.
  • Pressing Escape during the tutorial’s “name your task” step now returns you to the previous step instead of leaving you stuck.
  • Email verification is no longer required to create projects or accept invites. You can start working immediately after signing up.
