# Repeat a task on a schedule, and duplicate tasks

 Create a recurring task from the arrow next to New task. Choose how often it repeats, such as every Wednesday or the last working day of each month, and when it ends. Each repeat is a task of its own, so you can move, assign or finish one without changing the others. Change the whole series from the task details. You see what…

## New

- Create a recurring task from the arrow next to New task. Choose how often it repeats, such as every Wednesday or the last working day of each month, and when it ends.

- Each repeat is a task of its own, so you can move, assign or finish one without changing the others.

- Change the whole series from the task details. You see what will move before you apply it, and tasks that are already started or that you changed by hand stay as they are.

- A recurring task can have subtasks, and each repeat gets its own copy of them.

- When you add a subtask to one repeat, choose whether it is for that task only or for every repeat that hasn’t started.

- Duplicate a task from the arrow next to New task, from the row or card menu, or with Ctrl+D in the Gantt view.

- Assistants connected to GanttFather can create, change and stop recurring tasks, and duplicate tasks.

## Improved

- Add people to a recurring task by typing their name. Only the people you choose are shown.

- Choose how long each recurring task lasts, in days or weeks, and the effort per task, when you create it.

- Custom repeat and Place under open inside the same window, and you can search for where the series goes.

- The repeat icon in the Gantt and list views no longer opens a card when you point at it.

- When a new version of GanttFather is out, the bottom of the sidebar tells you, so you can reload and get it.

## Bug Fixes

- A recurring task now repeats 10 times instead of getting no dates when the project’s last task ended before its first date.
