# Two-way Azure DevOps sync

## New

- **Review and publish changes to Azure DevOps.** See the exact dates and estimates that will change, leave out any work item you do not want to update, and confirm only the reviewed changes.

- **Use the same Azure fields in both directions.** Map Start, End, and Estimation for each work item type, including custom process fields, and reuse those mappings for imports and updates.

## Improved

- **Azure syncs include recovery checkpoints.** GanttFather checks the latest Azure values before publishing, confirms the saved result afterward, and creates a restorable history checkpoint before every pull or push.

## Bug Fixes

- **Changed field mappings now take effect on the next pull.** Newly selected Azure date fields update Gantt tasks while pending local edits remain protected for review.

- **Dates and estimates stay consistent.** Story Points and other mapped estimates sync correctly, Azure finish dates remain accurate, and a pull no longer creates false conflicts before a push.
